Endurance Music Group has purchased a portfolio of country songs penned by Jimmie Allen, Ash Bowers, and Trent Tomlinson while they were songwriters for Wide Open Music.
EMG, which was founded in 2015, is the Nashville-based music publishing and music rights acquisition platform of Raven & Company, an alternative investment manager.
Raven & Company claims to specialize in "the principal origination, underwriting, execution, and administration of direct asset-based investment," with investments ranging from $5 to $50 million.
In addition to smart catalog acquisitions, EMG is a publishing company that provides writers with administrative and creative services.
The acquisition is a follow-up investment to EMG's acquisition of Wide Open Music in 2020.
According to EMG, it is also a continuation of their approach of "finding and acquiring excellent music."
