Luxury ski hotel Goldener Hirsch joins Auberge Resorts Collection

Auberge Resorts Collection has added the freshly renovated and expanded Goldener Hirsch in Deer Valley, Utah, to its collection of managed properties.

Since its opening in 1992, the 18-room luxury inn has been owned by the Eccles family, business magnates and philanthropists whose lineage in Utah dates back to the late 1800s.

The property recently underwent a redesign while adding two new buildings with 40 residences.

Goldener Hirsch offers ski-in, ski-out access at Deer Valley and is roughly two miles from the Main Street commercial district in Park City.

The inn is modeled after an Austrian ski chalet and the interiors are decorated with ornately-carved and painted wood furniture imported from Austria, antiques collected from around the world and original paintings from the Eccles' private collection.

The buildings are connected by a glass bridge and open-air plaza, and the accommodations, all with wood-burning fireplaces, range from standard inn rooms to multi-bedroom residences with full-service kitchens and private balconies.

The 40 new residences range from 550-square-foot studios to one-, two-, and three-bedroom spaces maxing out at 2,485 square feet.

The residences, designed for family and friends traveling together, have full-service marble kitchens outfitted with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, washers and dryers, gas fireplaces in the living room and master bedrooms, soaking tubs and furnished balconies.

Property amenities include a Bavarian-style restaurant, a café, spa treatment suites, a game room and a rooftop fitness center and infinity pool with hot tub.

As part of the update, 21,000 square feet of new meeting and event space was added.
