The recently finished Terminal Two of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos has the potential to handle 14 million people annually, according to the Federal Government.

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, revealed this while touring the new airport terminal with some media and Capt. Rabiu Yadudu, the managing director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
Mohammed made it clear that the new international airport terminal was created to enhance, not replace, the current terminal 1.
