Thierry Henry is held in high regard by Arsenal fans and is generally considered to be one of the best players to have ever played for the club. Henry enjoyed a trophy-laden eight-years in north London and also had a brief loan spell back at the club towards the end of his career.
Thomas Tuchel has ideal opportunity to trial drastic Chelsea change
The former striker publicly backed Daniel Ek’s takeover bid of Arsenal earlier this year. The Spotify co-founder had tabled a bid of £1.8billion to buy the north London club – but that offer was rebuffed by current owner Stan Kroenke.
Ek is still apparently keen to buy Arsenal and regularly attends matches at the Etihad Stadium.
Henry and Ek watched as Arsenal defeated Tottenham 3-1 in the north London derby earlier this month, with Darren Dein also seen alongside the duo.
Dein is the son of former Arsenal vice-chairman David and is Henry’s current agent.
But Dein is also the agent of Arsenal icon Patrick Vieira, who is the current manager of Crystal Palace.

And it has now been suggested that Ek could appoint the Frenchman as Gunners manager should he eventually be successful in securing a takeover.
According to football.london, Vieira has long-term ambitions to manage Arsenal after gaining legendary status as a player during one of the club’s most successful ever periods.
Vieira joined the north Londoners from AC Milan in 1996 and went on to help Arsenal to their first Premier League title in his second season in England.
The 45-year-old won three league titles during his time in the capital and captained the famous Invincibles side, which remained unbeaten during the entire 2003/04 campaign.
