Steph Curry Game 1 Status: NBA World Reacts

On Saturday, the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets will begin their first-round playoff series. Moments ago, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski had an update on Steph Curry’s status for Game 1.

Wojnarowski is reporting that Curry’s availability for Game 1 remains a “close-call.” The former MVP missed the team’s last 12 regular season games because of a sprained ligament in his left foot.

The NBA world would love to see Curry back on the court for the first round of the playoffs, but they don’t want the Warriors to potentially rush his recovery process.

“We know full well what happens if you let a player play when they aren’t fully healed yet,” an NBA fan tweeted. “If he isn’t ready for game 1 then sit him out. The risk of a further injury of a player of Curry’s caliber is too great. Please let’s just wait until he’s fully healthy.”
