Spain, Andalucía (Andalusia) was once Muslim?

In this episode I'm in Spain's Southern region Andalucía (Andalusia), specifically the cities of Cordoba and Cadiz. Andalucía, Spain, is most famous for its flamenco, tapas culture and 500 years of Muslim domination which has left its mark on the food, unique Moorish architecture and the language of this region. Cordoba is famous for its mezquita (former grand mosque) which was once the biggest in all of the Islamic world, it's now a hybrid mosque-cathedral and one of the most impressive monuments I've ever seen! Cadiz is an ancient Phoenician city and has beautiful views over the Atlantic Ocean; its corniche brings to mind images of North Africa and Arabia. In this video I explore the rich culture and history of these Spanish cities and get to know the locals along the way. Andalucía is easily my favourite region in Spain and this video highlights many of the reasons why I love it!
