The photo above is a view of the inside of the human skull. If you look closely, you will be able to see that the surface is not smooth at all .
When you hold a skull and look inside, you will notice that it contains several ridges, some of which are quite sharp as knives.
Now I will tell you some facts:
1.Our brain is very delicate, which makes it easy to bruise or hurt. On the other hand, the human skull is very hard. The interior of the skull has several ridges and areas of rough, sharp bony edges.
2.When our head is hit or hit, our brain will then hit the walls, ridges, and sharp bony edges on the inside of the skull, tearing some blood vessels, causing several minutes of bleeding and some minor scrapings over time.
3.We don't have to become unconscious to suffer a significant brain injury. Our consciousness is controlled by deep structures in the brain. A significant brain injury may occur to the cortex or the outer surface of the brain, has not yet reached the brainstem and thus does not cause loss of consciousness.
4.Brain injuries, even minor ones that don't cause loss of consciousness, are more severe than some people think. If you never pay attention to this part of the brain, you're ignoring what many researchers call a hidden epidemic. Two million cases of brain injury are reported each year, and millions more go unnoticed.
Although the brain is a delicate part, some of us often drive two-wheeled vehicles without wearing a helmet, head a ball with our head, or play other dangerous games. (because of ignorance)
But not all brain injuries, even serious ones, will necessarily cause damage. Because the brain is supported by a clear fluid called cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) . CSF helps to support the brain when it is injured. Even so, the damage can still be done more than many people know.
So the next time you are about to do something risky, remember that your brain is like soft butter, enclosed in a not-so-smooth box.
