Platform for non-fungible tokens (NFT) The Christopher Wallace estate has partnered with OneOf to release the first-ever official The Notorious B.I.G. NFT collection.
The announcement coincides with the estate's commemoration of the legendary rapper's death and the release of his album Life After Death, which was released 25 years ago.
The Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation, Inc. will receive a percentage of the proceeds from the NFTs.
The OneOf platform was co-founded by tech entrepreneur Lin Dai, digital media executive Joshua James, and music industry veteran Adam Fell, in partnership with Quincy Jones and Quincy Jones Productions.
In may last year Oneof raised $63 million in a seed round from prominent tech and music industry veterans.
OneOf will produce the Notorious B.I.G. NFT collection on Tezos, which it describes as a "environmentally responsible proof-of-stake blockchain."
Willingie, Inc's Elliot Osagie and Voletta Wallace's Wayne Barrow came up with the idea for the NFT.
WME Legends' Phil Sandhaus represents the Christopher Wallace Estate.
