After receiving interest from a number of European teams, including Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and others, Napoli have boosted the price of Nigerian international Victor Osimhen to €120 million.
Despite missing time due to injuries and COVID-19, Osimhen has been Napoli's finest player this season, scoring 15 goals in 25 games in all competitions and giving four assists.
The dynamic striker was named Player of the Month in September 2021 and February 2022 for his efforts in Serie A.
Newcastle offered €100 million for the Nigerian striker in January, according to Italian website Il Corriere dello Sport, but it was refused.
Previous reports in Italy claimed €100m would have been enough at the end of the season to sign the 23-year-old, but the Rome-based paper now reports that Napoli have raised the price tag for their star striker.
Arsenal and Manchester United are strongly interested in Osimhen, but Napoli won’t sell for less than €120m, according to the report.
Should Osimhen leave in the summer, the Partenopei would pounce on Sassuolo‘s Gianluca Scamacca, who has also been linked with Inter and Milan
