In this episode I'm in Uruguay, a small country in South America of 3.4 million people. The capital of Uruguay is Montevideo, sitting on the Rio de la Plata across from Buenos Aires, it's a beautiful city with a laidback vibe and stunning architecture. The famous beach town of Punta del Este lies on Uruguay's eastern coast and has stunning beaches, and then there's the green, hilly countryside which makes up much of Uruguay, that has generations old ranches where the gaucho tradition of raising cattle is still going strong. Uruguay is a vastly underrated country in South America! It's been amazing to dive into the culture, from the amazing meat barbecues (parilla), the football frenzy, the world's longest carnival, beach vibes and gaucho traditions, it's been one of my favourite countries I've visited in South America and has some of the friendliest people in the world!
