GEN Z - ALTE´ FASHION STYLE

You are most certainly part of the baby boomer generation if you have never heard the word "Alté." But don't feel too old; today we'll teach you how to dress like a member of Generation Z. It will make sense to talk about how this all started before that, though. Alté, which is short for "alternative," is a lifestyle that is frequently mistaken for a habit, according to Urban Dictionary. It characterizes a group of young Nigerians with a distinctive sense of music and fashion. 

A significant example of an alté trend that has gotten mainstream acceptance over the years is fannypacks. The point of alté fashion basically is non-conformism. Gone are the days when you would condemn your favourite sweatshirt because it had holes in it.

Despite embracing a retro and vintage aesthetic, alté fashion is somehow labeled as "new school." The mainstay of this look, which is typically worn by young creatives, combines edgy aspects like piercings, loose pants, dirty sneakers, etc.
