Cooper Rush led the Dallas Cowboys to a 23-16 victory over the New York Giants by passing for 215 yards and one touchdown.

In place of the injured Dak Prescott, Rush completed 21 of his 31 throws as the Cowboys improved to 2-0 in their last three games.

Coach Brian Daboll expressed his "awful" feelings for wide receiver Sterling Shepard of the Giants after seeing the player being carried off the field with what seemed to be a left knee injury.

Before pulling up with the non-contact injury, Shepard had five receptions for 49 yards.
