The kit’s design is inspired by the city of London, and particularly its youthful energy and fashion world. To design the kit, Nike worked with a range of Chelsea fans who work in the fashion industry, creating a jersey that references previous Nike outerwear releases and other fashion staples. The stand-out feature is the pattern that runs across the entire jersey. Helping the shirt stand out, Nike has then added hits of bright orange.
The Chelsea third kit — which is produced using 100% recycled polyester fabric made from recycled plastic bottles — is available now for Nike members via the Nike web store. The kit will receive a wider release on September 2.
