I just attended India's most extreme festival and I've never seen anything like it before in my life - even after visiting every country in the world! It's a 10-day festival called Dussera, and even though it's celebrated around India - no region is more intense than Tamil Nadu. It's hard to comprehend what I just experienced - people having exorcisms and going into an unconscious state of trance. And the craziest part? I was the ONLY non-Indian at this festival of 100,000 + people, and this event has hardly been documented - by anyone! Also I appreciated that everyone at this festival was sober - that's how spiritual it was.
