Lee Jung-Jae, star of "Squid Game," has signed with CAA

Lee Jung-Jae, the star of Netflix's hit show Squid Game, has inked a deal with CAA to represent him as a director, producer, and actor.

Lee portrayed Seong Gi-Hun in the survival drama series Squid Game, for which he received four Screen Actors Guild nominations, including Male Actor in a Drama Series. Lee is the first male TV actor to win a SAG Award purely for a part in a language other than English.

Lee was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Actor in a Drama Series and a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series, making him the first Asian male actor to be nominated for all three awards shows in those categories.

Lee's next project will be the feature Hunt, in which he will also star alongside Jung Woo-Sung and make his directorial debut. Lee also wrote the script and is producing the film. Megabox Plus M will distribute Hunt in Korea.

The well-known Korean actor was named Gallup Korea's Film Actor of the Year in December 2021. His other credits include Korean movies Deliver Us From Evil, The Face Reader, Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Treasure Island and the Along With The Gods franchise. Chief Of Staff and Triple are two of his television credits. Last year, the actor also appeared on Stephen Colbert's Late Show and Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show.
