According to a press release from his Senior Special on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo inaugurated a ten-person board for the Nigeria Electricity Liability Management Company (NELMCO) over the weekend.
In a press release titled "FG moves to resolve tariff shortfalls in the power sector," the new board's six responsibilities are outlined in order for it to fulfill its mandate to address the country's power distribution companies' liabilities related to tariff shortfalls.

The board, which also includes the ministries of finance and power, was given a mandate by the vice president to safeguard the interests of society, particularly of common people.
