Starring as a visionary experimenting on prisoners (including Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett) with emotion-altering drugs, Hemsworth looks set to anchor an enjoyable paranoid thriller, in the capable hands of Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski

Hustle

Available June 8

It doesn’t happen too often, but when it does, you should always pay attention—Adam Sandler is doing actual acting here. Playing a washed-up talent scout, Sandler’s character sees an opportunity to get back into the NBA after discovering a phenomenal street ball player in Spain.

Interceptor

Available June 3

Looking every inch a classic action movie in the vein of home video rentals of the 80s and 90s, Interceptor sees Elsa Pataky (the Fast & Furious series) doing their damnedest to keep terrorists’ mitts off nuclear weapons on board an offshore launch station. The trailer suggests some dude gets stabbed in the eye with a gun, therefore we will watch this.

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area

Available June 24

Set in an era where North and South Korea begin economic unification, this new Money Heist sees a gang come together to pull off a spectacular score. Appearing to borrow some elements from the Spanish sensation, there may be a few more surprises in store than a straight remake…

Borgen – Power & Glory

Available June 2

Forget David Fincher’s DC-set drama for Netflix, those in the know would rate the decade-old Borgen one of the best political dramas ever made. Set in Denmark where a female political leader finds herself an against-the-odds Prime Minister after coalition negotiations (hang on…) the first three seasons charted the rocky road of her government. Now, in a new, fourth season, Sidse Babett Knudsen returns as Birgitte Nyborg Christensen, now Denmark’s Foreign Minister and with fresh challenges to negotiate.

Intimate doco captures Jennifer Lopez both as she prepares for her SuperBowl performance but reaches the midpoint of her career. As well as the show prep, the film also follows Lopez through the release of Hustlers and her frankly unforgivable Oscar snub.
