Rihanna has broken her silence after the huge announcement she's to headline next year's Super Bowl half-time show. The Pon de Replay singer, 34, is the latest star to be awarded the honor to pay at the huge sports spectacle and she's admitted to feeling the pressure. Ahead of the February 12 showcase next year, the Barbados-native said she's "nervous" about her performance.

Speaking to TMZ while out on a shopping trip on Tuesday, Rihanna was asked for her feelings about the show. She replied: "I'm nervous, but I'm excited." And when pushed on who will be the special guest on stage with her, Ri-Ri admitted her partner A$AP Rocky "maybe" called upon. The pair welcomed their first child together in May.
It's thought there is a huge list of potential guest appearances being lined up with many of her previous collaborators being rumored.
The half-time show will mark Rihanna's long-awaited comeback six years after she last dropped an album - Anti in 2016. The announcement that the star would take to the stage as the world watches on was made last month.
NFL then shared the same image to their official Twitter page, captioning their tweet: "Let’s GO - @rihanna @rocnation #SBLVII @AppleMusic @NFLonFOX." Fans went wild at the announcement after reports the star had turned down the opportunity to perform at the 2020 game due to her opposition to the way Colin Kaepernick was treated by the NFL. The former San Francisco 49er had refused to stand for the American national anthem at the beginning of games to protest police brutality and racial inequality across the country.
She took to her Twitter account on September 25 to tease fans about her comeback and posted a picture of her tattooed hand holding an NFL football to confirm rumours of her show were true.
