Qatar Airways resumes full inflight dining service on London and Paris routes

Premium customers on Qatar Airways’ routes to London and Paris will once again enjoy a full inflight dining service, as the carrier continues to “return to business as usual”.

Like many carriers worldwide, the Gulf airline was forced to adapt its inflight dining experience due to Covid-19.

This included serving business and first class with covered trays instead of a table layup, with a cutlery roll offered as an alternative to individual cutlery service. Single-use menu cards and sealed refreshing wipes were also introduced.

But Qatar Airways’ fine-dining service has now returned flights to London Heathrow and Paris CDG, with silverware and chinaware “presented elegantly on crisp white linen complete with candle light”.

The carrier is currently operating five daily flights to London, and three daily services to Paris.

The airline also said that its “award-winning inflight services will gradually return to business as usual across the entire network starting January 2022”. This include reopening all social areas and onboard lounges for premium passengers.

Commenting on the news Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker, said:

“The past year and a half has been a challenging period for the aviation industry, however we grew stronger and became more resilient as time went by. Today, we are happy to mark a new chapter that brings us a step closer to the recovery of the pandemic.

“Passengers will now be able to further enjoy Qatar Airways’ world-renowned in-flight services onboard our flights between Doha, London and Paris with more destinations to follow.”
