As the release date for the fourth season of Stranger Things nears, Millie Bobby Brown has given fans a teaser of what to expect from Eleven.
In the course of three seasons, audiences have seen Eleven grow out of her shell, learning to speak out, make friends and fight off monsters. Ahead of the two-volume release on Netflix, Brown says that fans will see Eleven at her darkest after the events of the third season that lefter her powerless. Brown explains to Entertainment Weekly, “You get to see Eleven in the darkest state she’s ever been. This has definitely been the hardest season I’ve ever filmed. And there have been some of the scariest, scariest things that I’ve ever seen as a human, which you guys will get to see, for sure.”
Brown also adds, “That storyline of her as a young child wasn’t covered. There were still so many questions, from me and from the viewers.” This is in line with what the Duff Brothers have revealed about Season Four, saying that fans will finally be receiving some of their long-awaited answers. Bronw’s co-star Finn Wolfhard also adds, “I think inherently it becomes darker every season. It also kind of becomes [a] different genre… I mean, it gets everything. It gets funnier, it gets scarier, it gets more dramatic. And I think that just comes with all of us growing up and getting older.”
Stranger Things emerges from the Upside Down for volume one of season four on May 27 on Netflix.
In other entertainment news, Netflix’s Ultraman anime confirmed its final season in 2023.
