Designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin is taking over the reins at Jean Paul Gaultier for a single Haute Couture collection, for spring summer 2025! His inspiration? A hat/boat from a 1998 fashion show. The name of this work is ‘Le Naufrage’. The models emerge from the backstage like mermaids stranded on the shore, their hair still damp, their clothes stuck to their skin by the salt water. Jean Paul Gaultier's studios have been working flat out. The silhouettes are corseted and marine. But there are also elements specific to Ludovic de Saint Sernin: rivets, crystal tapestries, etc.
