Curator of In the Black Fantastic, Ekow Eshun, offers an introductory tour around the Hayward Gallery exhibition. Eshun introduces some of the underlying themes of the exhibition, including the concept of ‘the racialised everyday’, and looks at how some of the 11 artists featured in the exhibition respond to these.
