Halle Berry has responded to a critic claiming 'everyone hated' Catwoman. The widely criticized 2004 movie is often compared to one of the worst blockbusters ever made and now Halle, once again, has weighed in on the hatred. In the movie, Berry played Patience Phillips, a woman who develops cat-like powers based on the popular DC Comics character. She has now amused fans with a hilarious two-word response to one social media user saying they were "shocked" to discover that "everyone hated" the film. Sharing a clip from the movie, one Twitter user penned: "When I first [saw] this when I was a child, I really thought this was the best movie in the world."

They added: "So imagine my shock when I grew up and found out everyone hated it???" Now, the 56-year-old actress has hit back at the cruel comment in the most hilarious way possible. Attaching the laughing face emoji, Halle replied: "Imagine mine". Earlier last year, Berry opened up about the "disheartening" film and its lack of success amongst viewers – saying she had 'carried the weight of its failure.
She added: "I worked really hard to be a Catwoman. I learned [Brazilian martial art] capoeira. I did the work. The disheartening part was: I didn’t direct it, I didn’t produce it, nor did I write it. "I was just the actress in it. But for all these years, I have carried the weight of that film.
"And whatever success it had or didn’t have somehow seemed like it was all my fault. But it really wasn’t my fault. But I’ve been carrying it." The 2004 superhero spin-off Catwoman is only loosely based on the character from the comic books – and is nothing to do with the Batman movie franchise.
