Gabriel Jesus Arrives London To Undergo Medical Ahead Of £45m Move From Manchester City

Gabriel Jesus has arrived in London for a medical ahead of his £45 million move from Manchester City.

The Brazilian was photographed arriving at Arsenal's training ground in London Colney and hugging Gunners technical director Edu.

His transfer to Arsenal is expected to be completed later this week. Jesus is set to sign a five-year contract and has been offered the No. 9 shirt, which became available after Alexandre Lacazette returned to Lyon.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be overjoyed if his top forward target is signed.

Arsenal's priority this summer has been to sign a striker after Lacazette left on a free transfer and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left in January for Barcelona.

Jesus is expected to come in and lead the line for Arsenal, but he can also operate out wide.

He has a good relationship with Arteta from their time together as Pep Guardiola's assistant at Manchester City, which influenced his decision.

After paying £34 million for Porto midfielder Fabio Vieira last week, Jesus will become Arsenal's second major summer signing. They also signed MLS goalkeeper Matt Turner for £7.5 million from the New England Revolution.

The Gunners want to bolster their attack even more and are still in talks with about a deal for Raphinha. Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and Chelsea are all interested in the Leeds winger.
