Fury, Wilder In Fierce Showdown Of Eyeballs Ahead Saturday Bout

On Wednesday, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder took the stage for their final Press Conference before their trilogy showdown this weekend, and things got hot, as expected.

As THEWILL reported, this professional boxing trilogy fight, billed as “Once and For All,” between Fury and Wilder will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Wilder reaffirmed his claims that Fury cheated in their second fight, which the British heavyweight won by TKO in the Round 7 last February.

But Fury fired back and vowed to beat Wilder so badly the American pugilist will retire and be “back working at that fast-food chain he was working at early on in his career.”

The two were suddenly about to resort to fighting there and then, but Bob Arum, the Founder of Top Rank, which is Fury’s American promotional team, intervened and stopped it from happening.

Speaking with reporters later, Arum revealed that the plan was never to have them do a staredown.

He said: “They are emotional. They are fighters. They are fighters. And they have insulted each other in front of the world … which is acceptable. Words don’t do damage.

“Now you put them together like angry dogs and everyone is wishing that somebody starts something.”
