Generally, if your hands are going from wet to dry, or are coming into contact with chemicals throughout your working day, you're at risk. The conditions strip the oils from your skin, your skin gets dry, the skin cannot repair itself fast enough and sores start to appear that spread over the hands. There is no cure, doctors can prescribe steroid creams but they can be very hit and miss.
