British snakes island

Wildlife in the UK can be seen as fairly docile compared to other countries. We don’t really have any dangerous predators anymore – they’ve all been hunted to extinction – but there is an island off the coast of Scotland that has a surprise lurking in the bracken. The Isle of Arran has a strong population of the UK’s only venomous snake species – the European Adder. Mike and the What Next team head into the glens to search for these incredibly elusive snakes.
