APPLE MUSIC REDUCES THE THREE-MONTH FREE TRIAL FOR NEW SUBSCRIBERS TO ONE.

The change brings Apple's free trial period in line with competitors like Spotify, which likewise only offers a one-month free trial to new subscribers.

Since the service's inception in 2015, Apple has given a three-month free trial to new customers, with a one-month trial currently available 'in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Japan, and other countries.'

The move comes less than a year after Apple Music announced that it will be integrating Lossless Audio and Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos technology with its service for free, with its $9.99-per-month streaming subscription.

New customers who purchase one of Apple's qualified audio products, such as Beats devices, AirPods Max, AirPods, AirPods Pro, and Homepod mini, will still receive a six-month free trial.

"You have 90 days after initially connecting your device to take advantage of your six free months of Apple Music," according to Apple, and "current users of eligible devices have 90 days after updating to the newest iOS or iPadOS to redeem your six free months of Apple Music."

It goes on to say that "depending on who you talk to, there is considered to be at least some level of migration from Spotify to Apple Music right now."

The Family Plan, which permits up to six accounts for $14.99 per month, is another Apple Music tier, the Apple One bundle, which includes services like Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and iCloud+ for $15 per month.

Apple also provides a $4.99 a month Apple Music Voice Plan that includes access to Apple Music's entire collection of 90 million songs, tens of thousands of playlists, personalized mixes, genre stations, and Apple Music Radio.

This subscription excludes Apple Music's premium features, such as Spatial Audio and Lossless Audio, Lyrics, and Music Video.
