Access Bank has launched two consumer credit cards: the Access Bank American Express® Gold Card and the Platinum® Gold Card. These are the first American Express cards issued in Nigeria. By launching these cards, Access Bank is improving its overall offering to its private banking customers,who can now take advantage of the Group Rewards® loyalty program and many travel and lifestyle benefits. In 2019, Access Bank signed an agreement with American Express to begin customer acquisition, allowing businesses in all countries to accept payments with international American Express cards. The bank is ready to offer the first American Express credit card in West Africa. The Gold and Platinum cards have the international features of the American Express card, with the distinctive "Centurion" logo. This type of product is also offered outside of Nigeria by American Express or other authorized parties of American Express and offers cardholders many rewards and benefits. Thanks to Access Bank, this credit card experience is now available in Nigeria.In addition to dual currency functionality (NGN/USD) and international acceptance, the American Express card includes airport lounge access, car rental benefits, Rewards® Membership, loyalty points, and insurance and security.
