The world is a wonderful place full of natural beauty and unfathomable evolution.
There are many beautiful travel destinations in the world, but the bulk of us have yet to discover them.
Here are five fantastic places you may not have heard about.
1. Meroe pyramids, Sudan
Everyone has heard of Egypt's pyramids; they are undoubtedly one of the world's most photographed icons and are guaranteed to be on everyone's bucket list. But did you know that Sudan has many more pyramids, some of which are in immaculate condition? If you go into the desert to see them, you're likely to be the only one there.
2. Fernando de Noronha, Brazil
A picture-perfect island with a thriving reef and a high concentration of dolphins and sharks. In Fernando de Noronha, life moves slowly, and due to the island's relative isolation and tourism tax, only a few people visit. However, those who discover the secret will be rewarded with surreal images that are hard to believe, as well as true island life that will immediately put you in the right mood.
3. Tree climbing lions, Uganda
Uganda is not as well-known for safaris as its East African counterparts, but it does have some hidden jewels, particularly in terms of the elusive lion, which can be difficult to locate but is plentiful in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where they are frequently spotted perched on tree branches. The reason for this is unknown, but you can't help but smile when you see such large animals trying to hold on with one leg to one side and a tail to the other.
4. Valle de la Luna, Chile
The Atacama desert and salt lakes surround a lunar-like environment of rock formations and artwork. Northern Chile's El Valle de la Luna seems like it belongs in a Star Wars film. If you travel directly from Santiago, you're likely to have altitude sickness, which will add to the surreal nature of the encounter.
5. Yasur active volcano, Vanuatu
Prepare yourself for one of those moments when your insides truly shake. After a long automobile travel across Vanuatu's island of Tana, a short walk up the rim reveals an active crater erupting lava. The feelings of standing or sitting on the ashes to watch the sun set while listening to the Earth's bowels are indescribable.
