Who doesn't enjoy learning about genetic cues that suggest you may be smarter than you believe? As it turns out, your brain is not the only part of your body (if you will).
Research has established relationships between intellect and a number of other characteristics across time. According to a study conducted by scientists at Brown University and Princeton University, taller people may make more money than shorter ones. The authors examined government data sets that recorded a person's height, weight, IQ, educational background, and salary from the time of their birth until they reached maturity if they were born in the United States or the United Kingdom between 1958 and 1970. Their investigation revealed that those who were tall as children significantly outperformed others in cognitive testing. Additionally, taller persons typically held higher-paying jobs that needed higher levels of intelligence as well as sophisticated linguistic and math skills.
The alleged correlation between height and intelligence continues to baffle many researchers, but some believe genetics or early childhood care may have some bearing on the matter.
