What One Can Expect On Emirates Business Class (Complete With A Bar And A Shower)

Emirates is known for its luxe accommodations on its airline, and business class takes 'traveling in style' to a whole new level.

Emirates is famous for its luxury travel and they offer some of the most luxurious regular air travel in the world. Where else can one get a shower (the personal spas are offered on First-Class) and a bar on a flight? They are without a doubt one of the best airlines in the world.

Emirates operates only two types of aircraft. Most airlines in the world operate long-haul and short-haul aircraft flying long and short routes. But Emirates is different, they only operated two types of wide-bodied aircraft families. They have the Airbus A380 and the Boeing 777 (two different varieties of the family). They are the largest operator in the world of both types of aircraft.

Airbus A380
Airbus A380: 120 Total (2 or 3 on order)
The Airbus A380 is a full double-story airliner and is the world's largest passenger aircraft ever made. It is truly a marvel of engineering - even if a bit of a white elephant having been out-competed by Boeing's 787 Dreamliner. The production of the A380 ended in 2021. It is a massive aircraft with typical seating for 525 passengers with a maximum certified capacity of 853 passengers.

Of the 251 orders that Airbus received for this superjumbo, Emirates ordered 123 - around half of the total ever flown.

Boeing 777: 134 Total
The other aircraft operated by Emirates is the Triple Seven. This is an American wide-body airliner that was built to bridge the gap between Boeing's 767 and its Jumbo Jet - the 747 (now no longer built).

They make up the other half of the Emirate's fleet flying the routes that don't warrant the massive A380. The luxury services on these aircraft are often not quite the same standard of the A380 flagships.

These are very different aircraft and Emirate's Business Class is different on each of them. In the A380 they have the whole upper deck to use for luxury travel. Note that services may change with long-haul or short-haul etc.

They will be diversifying their flight somewhat in the future with 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 40 Airbus A350 on order.

Emirates A380 Business Class
On the Emirates A380 Business Class, they offer seats that seamlessly recline into a fully flat bed with a soft, comfy mattress and a cozy blank. It also boasts an "Onboard Lounge" a small bar on the airplane where passengers can relax with a drink, network, and delve into delicious canapés.

Bed: Full Flat Bed
They offer a range of regionally inspired gourmet dishes that fly in the face of what most would think of airplane food. One can enjoy their gourmet cuisine and over 4,500 channels of entertainment.

On both the long-haul A380 and 777 one can expect a thick pillow and a wrapped duvet blanket.

When it comes to cabin design, Emirates has also put a lot of work into the great atmosphere of flashy décor. The aircraft is decked out in rich wood paneling with the use of gold and beige design tones.

On the flagship A380 aircraft, the business class seating is staggered 1-2-1. This has the benefit that couples can sit together or passengers can choose to sit along.

Bed Length: Range From 1.78 to 2 Meters (5.8 - 6.5 Feet)
Personal Spa: On First Class
The beds range in length from 1.78 to 2 meters (5.8 - 6.5 feet) long. It depends on the location. Aisle seats are a bit shorter, while the window seats and the centers are a tad longer.

Boeing 777 Business Class
Their Boeing 777 Business Class is also among the most luxurious on offer in the skies. That being said it isn't quite the luxury of the A380. Here one can enjoy a reclining chair in their business class cabins, but not the fully reclinable bed to be found on the A380. On this seat, one can lie completely flat on the soft leather fabric.

They can recline 180 degrees fully flat. On older versions, the seats would recline to more of an angled lie-flat position and not the completely flat today. The seat on the 777 recline into beds measuring 2 meters (6.5 feet long).
