NIGERIA EXPERIENCES MAJOR FUEL SCARCITY

There appears to be significant worry and uncertainty in Lagos as a result of gasoline scarcity in various regions of the state, particularly the island axis.

Over the weekend, there were unusually lengthy lines of vehicles at multiple filling stations in Ikoyi, Victoria Island, and Lekki trying to buy Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), often known as petrol, which was said to be caused by increased demand for the product owing to a power outage.

Despite increased power supply, the huge lines at the filling stations that have been generating gridlock in those areas appear to have remained on Monday morning.

This comes at a time when the debate over whether or not to remove gasoline subsidies is still raging.

Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche, the lady, claims she has big ideas for Nigeria if she is elected President.
Ezeanyaeche, popularly known as the ‘living legend’ or ‘Mama Africa,’ is from Aguata, Anambra state, and is the founder of the ‘Voice for Senior Citizens of Nigeria’ organization.

During a recent visit to the Management team of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, she declared her willingness to compete for the top spot if the country's younger generations are not prepared.

Caro Nwosu, the group's president, cited Ezeanyaeche as stating, 'If Nigerians are hesitant to participate in politics, she says she is willing to run.' She's already written a manifesto for herself; she's got the vision. If the excellent ones don't show up to compete...'
