Spurs 2-2 Man City

Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo had us in control at the break following a superb opening 45 minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Cherki fired home a right-foot strike while Semenyo finished expertly as the Blues turned on the style. Despite the comfortable interval advantage, it should have been more and Pep Guardiola’s men were made to pay for not finishing our other efforts in that first half. Tottenham came out fast from the blocks and soon pulled one back through Dominic Solanke although there looked to have been a foul on Marc Guéhi with the City defender having his foot clipped as the Tottenham forward swept home. The hosts levelled matters, again through Solanke, as the former Bournemouth forward produced an impressive improvised finish to beat Gianluigi Donnarumma. Both sides had opportunities to win it late on. Donnarumma nudged over a Xavi Simons strike, substitute Tijjani Reijnders had two headers flash marginally wide while Guéhi, Haaland and Rodri all attempted to force the ball home in a melee in the box. Haaland also had a penalty claim waved away. In the end, there were no further goals as the game finished level with a point apiece for the hosts and visitors.
