Ronaldo 'Not For Sale' -Manchester United

According to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, Man Utd stand firm on their stance that Cristiano Ronaldo will not be sold this summer.

The Portugal international is said to have asked the Red Devils hierarchy if he could leave the club this summer if they receive 'satisfactory' offers.

Ronaldo scored 24 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions last season but failed to help Man Utd break into the top four as the club missed out on a  Champions League spot.

Their lack of ambition in the transfer market is another reason why Ronaldo wants to leave as they continue to be bogged down in their pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

Ronaldo has missed United's pre-season tour for 'family reasons' and it seems the Portuguese forward lacks genuine interest from other clubs.

When asked for an update on Ronaldo's situation at Old Trafford, Ten Hag said: "Worry may not be the right word. I focus on the players  there and they are doing very well.

" They are in good form and I am focusing more on that and developing it. I can't wait for (Ronaldo) to come  and then we will integrate him.

And Sheth insists Man Utd are not looking to replace Ronaldo and  their views on a potential transfer remain the same.

Sheth told Sky Sports: "Manchester United's position on Cristiano Ronaldo is unchanged - he is not for sale. United are not looking to replace the Portuguese striker.

Man Utd have been doing business in this summer with Tyrell Malacia arriving from Feyenoord, Lisandro Martinez joining  Ajax and former Brentford midfielder Christian Eriksen signing on a free transfer The deals to bring Martinez and Malacia to Man Utd could mean a number of defenders could be in. leaving with Alex Telles and Brandon Williams saying they could leave, while Eric Bailly sparked interest.

"Following the arrivals of Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia, United will gladly allow Alex Telles and Tyrell Malacia to leave. Williams is gone. Their playtime may be limited.

“United defender Eric Bailly will be of interest to a number of clubs, but as things go, he wants to stay and fight for his place. "
