Ralph Lauren has announced intentions to exhibit his fall 2022 designs in March, as New York Fashion Week kicks off this week.
Lauren will present a live runway event in New York City on March 22. The evening presentation will be a small affair, showcasing both the Ralph Lauren fall 2022 women's collection and the Ralph Lauren Purple Label men's line. The show's location has not been revealed.
Alexander McQueen said last week that it will debut its fall womenswear collection on March 15 in New York, but provided no other specifics. The off-schedule presentation will take place in early March, after the regular fall collections have ended.
Lauren's most recent runway show, Ralph's Club, was held in September 2019 and featured Art Deco-inspired decor, a slew of celebrities, and a special performance by Janelle Monáe, who brought the house down. Due to the pandemic's spread, Lauren postponed his fall 2020 collection, which was planned to debut in April 2020, and in March, with the virus still raging, Lauren gave a "All or Nothing at All" spring digital presentation, complete with an electrifying musical set from Monáe.
The show, which was broadcast live on the Ralph Lauren website, combined the women's Ralph Lauren Collection and the men's Purple Label lines in a black-and-white film performance at the Beverly Hills store. Lauren accompanied the concert invites with whiskey and homemade potato chips, which was a big help set the tone for the presentation from silver screen to computer screen Following the presentation, viewers could digitally explore, click, and buy the dual-gender collection at the Beverly Hills flagship.
