Macky Sall stated, "I have urged that the World Bank investigate the possibilities of implementing the Bank's crisis and emergency response policy." Its goal is to assist countries who are experiencing significant economic hardship, natural disasters, or food insecurity. Unfortunately, Africa is in the midst of a three-dimensional crisis, and the situation could not be more dire, so this method was critical."
As the leaders discussed the global economic implications of the Russia-Ukraine war, Sall reaffirmed his plea for Africa to be granted monies through the special drawing rights system.
