It’s undeniable, Patrice Evra, the former Manchester United and France captain, is fit. Really fit. At 42, he can do things in the gym most people in their twenties can’t. As he says to Men’s Health UK in our latest How I Build My Body episode ‘this isn’t for the cameras, this is real life, this is what I do every day.’ And what he does every day is a lot. From isometric exercises and sled pushes to kettlebell swings and box jumps, Evra takes his health and fitness seriously. Last year, on his 41st birthday, he claims to have completed 41 box jumps in one minute, with 3kg ankle weights. Here, he challenges you to try and beat your age in 60 seconds, and explains why his Juventus teammates called him ‘the pharaoh’. And yes, he does ‘love this game’.
