Guangzhou wasn’t what we expected. As China’s third-largest city, it blends futuristic skyscrapers, historic architecture, and a touch of Southeast Asian vibes. Over two days, we explore its vibrant streets, indulge in Cantonese dim sum, and discover some of its most famous landmarks—rain or shine! We start our adventure at one of the most upscale dim sum spots we’ve ever visited, where we try everything from shrimp dumplings to tangerine peel beef balls. Later, we attempt to visit the Canton Tower, ride the city’s tram line, and explore the trendy Party Pier—but things don’t go quite as planned. The next day, we dive into the city’s history at the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, wander the picturesque Shamian Island, and search for the best street food in Jiangnan Street. We also stumble upon Bruce Lee’s father’s ancestral home—a totally unexpected surprise! From hidden gems to iconic spots, Guangzhou is full of surprises, and we’re here to take you along for the ride. Let us know in the comments what we should check out next time!
