George R.R. Martin Is Thrilled With The Positive Reviews For ‘Elden Ring’: ‘Music To My Ears’

Elden Ring is one of the most acclaimed video games of all time. As the game's reviews have flooded in, the consensus across the games industry has been that it's a jewel, with some even going so far as to proclaim it one of the best games ever developed. While no one is surprised that From Software, the designers of Dark Souls, managed to create another successful game, it is a bit shocking to see how practically everyone in the gaming space has been raving about Elden Ring.

Among those mentioned is George R.R. Martin, the creator of A Song of Ice and Fire, who assisted in the development of Elden Ring. While he wasn't in the game studio every day coding the game, he did play an important role in the Elden Ring universe's world-building and lore. He nailed his job because one of the most enjoyable aspects of Elden Ring has been wandering to see what this odd area has to offer. That's one of the reasons the game has received such positive feedback. Martin has been pleased to see all of the great feedback and stated in a blog post about the game that all of the positive feedback has been received.

Elden Ring's Metacritic score is now between 95 and 97 across all platforms. This places it with many other classic games, including The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Super Mario Galaxy. Because of how well the game has been received, we're sure to hear about it for a long time. Martin and the rest of the From Soft team should be proud of what they've accomplished.
