My last visit to Guyana (back in 2016) was not enjoyable, to say the least. I vividly remember my hotel receptionist locking the door at 7 pm and saying that I couldn’t leave because it was too dangerous! But back then, I was young and naive, so I decided to give it another chance with new perspectives. And this time around was a lot more enjoyable! Not only did I get to fully enjoy the street markets and tasty cuisine of Georgetown (the capital), but I also got to head down into the Amazon to meet an indigenous tribe and go hunting for anacondas at night!! I hope you learned a thing or two about the only English-speaking nation in South America, and I would love to hear from you in the comments down below. Seriously - I read every single comment and your feedback is greatly appreciated so I can continue to improve the way I tell stories!
