Borussia Dortmund have confirmed Liverpool’s interest in signing Jude Bellingham and have revealed that there is no release clause in his current contract.
Daily Star Sport understands Bellingham is Jurgen Klopp’s number one transfer target as he weighs up how to improve his Liverpool side next summer.
The Reds could face competition from a number of their title rivals, though, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United all linked with a move for Bellingham in recent months.
German outlet Bild have also reported this week that Dortmund have set their asking price at £101million as they attempt to hold off interest in the teenage midfielder.
Dortmund’s head of first-team football, Sebastian Kehl, confirmed the interest from Liverpool in an interview with Sport1.
“There’s a lot of interest around Jude Bellingham, not only Liverpool,” explained Kehl.
“But there is no bottom line and no exit clause. He is loved, he enjoys that. There are no signs he could leave BVB soon”
Bellingham moved to Dortmund last summer for £20million from Birmingham City and has continued to impress since arriving in Germany.
