Silent suffering and supernatural suspicion permeate the atmosphere of the "put community," where the arrival of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, or "coppers," has coincided with a desperate search for salvation from a familial curse. At the heart of this volatile environment is Brain Jotter, the online persona associated with the video's creator, whose presence signals the unfolding drama involving the newly deployed coppers—Bulma, Malik, Fatima, Obina, and Dio.
The deployment started on a note of strict authority, overseen by a principal who appeared to struggle with managing both the staff and the students. The principal, visibly frustrated, lamented that he was not being seen as a responsible leader despite the challenges he faced. He was, however, responsible for introducing the coppers to the Chief, the benefactor who built their wonderful lodge, ensuring the new arrivals understood the importance of respecting the local hierarchy.
The Chief of the community is burdened by a dark secret and a recurring tragedy: his wife has endured six failed pregnancies. He believes the coppers’ arrival marks the fulfillment of a prophecy—that someone with the "gift of sight" would come to set the land free from darkness. This belief centered around Copper Obina, who possessed a unique ability to "see how they see". During his wife's seventh difficult labor, the Chief sought Obina's help, confirming the young man’s special status when Obina successfully stabilized the wife’s vitals and eased her contractions, resulting in the first surviving baby.

Obina's "gift" is also a personal "cause," compelling him to confront the dark forces plaguing the community. The Chief confessed that his wife’s younger sister, Aba, was possessed by a Samuri spirit, a dark entity that extracts a piece of any man who sleeps with her. The Chief, who once had a relationship with the "wild" Aba before marrying her sister, realized his infidelity caused a curse, where any subsequent child born to his wife would be a "curse with his face". Aba, driven by revenge, confirmed she had cursed her sister with a burnt "evil dog" (doll), leading to the repeated miscarriages. Obina’s final intervention during the sixth labor was successful. He appealed to Aba's inherent humanity, arguing the wife and baby were innocent, while the Chief apologized for his past wrongs. The safe arrival of the baby left the Chief eternally grateful and indebted to Obina.
Away from the supernatural conflicts, the coppers face relatable personal dilemmas. Fatima, despite being adored by her fellow copper Dio, is torn between true love and financial necessity. She is under immense pressure from her family to marry a wealthy man who promises to pay her siblings' fees and finance a fashion house in Lagos. Her mother called her selfish for not prioritizing this financial security over her love for Dio, forcing Fatima to question if "love pay bills". Unaware of her internal struggle, Dio, believing her moodiness was merely due to "family issues," planned to propose. Meanwhile, Copper Obina, who taught Biology, grappled with the surreal aspirations of his students, one of whom wanted to be an "inspiration to young people," while another declared his future goal was to be the "man way" (king), illustrating the disjointed communication and perspectives between the coppers and the local students. Through all the intense drama, both mortal and spiritual, the coppers must navigate a community that is simultaneously welcoming and deeply entrenched in secrets.
