The Cannes Film Festival has wrapped for another year, once again dazzling us with all the glitz and glamour associated with the annual celebration of movie-making. There was an impressive line-up of films on the 77th schedule this year – both in and out of the official competition – including Die, My Love, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson; another turn from Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning; and three notable directorial debuts from Kristen Stewart (The Chronology of Water), Scarlett Johansson (Eleanor the Great) and Harris Dickinson (Urchin). Naturally, this means that we were treated to countless starry premieres, with some excellent fashion walking the Croisette and ascending those iconic red stairs – but with fewer 'naked' dresses and extravagant trains this year, thanks to a new dress code designed to impose "decency" on the red carpet.
