Berlin might just be the coolest city in Europe. Its history is both heavy and recent—leveled during World War II, then divided both physically and ideologically by the Wall into Communist East and free West. Yet, time and time again, Berlin has risen from the ashes. There's an undeniable energy here that draws artists, musicians, and creatives from across the globe, as well as people seeking a better life. With one of the most legendary nightlife scenes on the planet and an international community that includes the largest Turkish diaspora outside of Turkey, Berlin feels alive in a way few places do. It's one of our favorite cities in the world
