Banks' N22 Trillion Claims Are Considered As Providing The Greatest Intervention Funds In Nigerian

As of June 2022, there were N21.5 trillion in total claims made by Nigerian commercial banks against the Central Bank of Nigeria, up from N19.9 trillion at the end of December 2021.

This amounts to a N1.6 trillion rise in the last six months or an increase of 8% over the previous year.

Since the beginning of 2019, the amount of bank deposits held by the central bank has more than quadrupled, going from roughly N9.9 trillion in December 2018 to about N21.5 trillion in June.
