James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water has grossed $1.443B globally through Monday. Of that, the international box office reps $997M which, as we previously noted below, means the 20th Century Studios/Disney title will top $1B overseas with today’s grosses included. Way of Water has been in worldwide release for 20 days and now stands as the 13th highest global movie of all time, passing Avengers: Age of Ultron ($1.403B). It is also closing in on Top Gun: Maverick for 2022’s biggest global release. Offshore, WoW ranks as the No. 1 international release of 2022 and No. 2 of the pandemic era. It’s currently the 11th highest international release of all time. Here are the Top 5 offshore markets through Monday: China ($162M), France $93.7M), Korea ($76.1M), Germany ($70.5M), UK ($57.5M).
