Arsenal Football Club and Adidas (XETRA:ADS.DE -0.81%) have just unveiled the club’s official home jersey for the 2023/24 campaign and it celebrates the 20th anniversary of The Gunners’ “Invincibles” season. While Arsenal has had its most successful domestic season for over a decade this year — having just fallen short of winning the Premier League title — the club is now reminiscing on its most iconic campaign of all time when the men’s first team did what no team had done in 115 years: going an entire season unbeaten.
The “Invincibles” squad was led by Arsene Wenger, captained by Patrick Vieira, and spearheaded by Thierry Henry as it won 26 games and drew 12, thus going on to win the Premier League title and revolutionalize British football.
Now, the club’s new jersey celebrates that season once again and features a new shade of red alongside white sleeves and lightning bolt detailing that flows vertically from top to bottom. Additionally, Arsenal’s crest and Adidas logo all feature in gold, while the team’s invincible record is etched into the side of the authentic version of the kit. The on-field version of the shirt is constructed with HEAT.RDY technology is designed to keep players comfortable while performing on the biggest stages.
The supporter iteration is crafted with AEROREADY technology, which uses sweat-wicking or absorbent materials to keep the body feeling dry. Speaking about the release of the new jersey, Arsenal legend, Ray Parlour said: “Playing in that season twenty years ago, surrounded by so many wonderful players is something I will never forget, and it is great to see we are celebrating our club history by bringing out this new home shirt – something I think all the supporters will truly love.” You can take a closer look at the new Arsenal jersey above and it is available to shop via the official Arsenal website and with Adidas retailers now. You will also be able to see Arsenal ballers wear the kit IRL for the first time when the women’s team takes on Aston Villa on May 27 and when the men’s side plays Wolverhampton Wanderers on May 28.
